Exploring Your Life Story through Art & Body Psychotherapy
This 4-day workshop will provide opportunities to explore your life stories and experiences from the dual perspective of art and body psychotherapies. Creative methods of working both with art materials and directly with bodily subjective experience will be used to raise awareness and gentle curiosity towards yourself and your life story. These experiences will be unique to each participant and there will be opportunities to process each day through group discussions, feedback and reflections. In this way, it is expected that there will be an attempt to give each of you a new, distinctive and fruitful perspective on the nature of your unique life story. The workshop is intended for helping professions (psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, pedagogues, occupational therapists, rehabilitators), and all those who, regardless of their profession, wish to deepen their knowledge of self and their capacity to live a fulfilled life. This unique workshop will be held in Dubrovnik, from 20 to 24 August 2013, by LoreLaura Jimenez Alonso, clinical art therapist from Austria, and John Waterston, body psychotherapist from the United Kingdom.
